The chapters seek to uncover the biblical roots of the concept, its richness, its role within salvation history, and its relevance for the Christian world today. Particular attention is given to the Adventist appropriation of the concept. This book provides an introduction to the understanding and significance of the end-time remnant as an Adventist theological self-definition. It addresses the very identity of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, an identity that occasionally needs to be examined and reaffirmed.
