History is not covered. For each discipline there are two chapters. The second annotates reference works arranged by form: bibliographies, indexes, biographical sources, etc. While the book's arrangement is basically unchanged, some new subtopics have been added; for example, in the religion sources chapter, the section "New Alternatives: New Age, Occult, Etc." The annotations are helpful and often cite related sources. Coverage is admirably current, with many 1993 and even 1994 sources listed. More than 25 percent of the sources included are new to this edition. The editors have also done an excellent job of noting electronic sources.
